The regular Monday meeting was held today and we discussed very important things. Please attend meetings because the club isn't made up of just the officers and a few other students. $10 is due for a ticket if you are attending the Speech and Debate Banquet in the Kerr aafeteria. Remember, it is Friday May 23^rd, 6-8pm, and if you want to buy a ticket, see an officer. Also, be sure to go to the meeting on the 13^th. It is a regular meeting but we will have food. If you signed up to bring food, please remember to bring it in! Plus, we will be having a popcorn sale starting next Monday and make sure you turn in your money or report cards will be held.

The long-awaited website is finally up and running! Check here often for news, information on meetings and practice. Pictures and tournament results will be posted regularly. 
There is a regular Monday meeting on May 5^th.

Instead of meetings being every Monday, the officers have decided that general meetings will be alternating Mondays. We will be discussing the Fine Arts Banquet, the Speech/Debate Banquet, next years tournament schedule, summer camp and much more, so make sure you are there. Officers - you will have a regular officer meeting every Thursday. If you are not able to attend, talk to Mr. Davis. The meeting on the 28^th is cancelled due to TAKS testing. 
The new officers were inducted recently. Some of our new officers have already held an officer position, but there are new faces in the bunch, such as Christine Umeh, Silvia Chicas, Nicholas Chan and Ayesha Malik. Rumana Kermalli is President, Thuan Nguyen is IE Captain, Joshua Tang is Debate Captain, Ainee Athar is Vice President, Christine Umeh is Treasurer, Silvia Chicas is Secretary, Nicholas Chan is Parliamentarian and Ayesha Malik is Historian. 
The club needs a lot more participation. Many of our members have been losing interest in the club. We get recruits, but after the first few tournaments, participation dwindles. If you have any suggestions to revive participation or if you have an idea of why this happens, please mention them at the Monday meeting! The club is nothing without dedication from each of its members.
