On December 5th and 6th, 12 students were chosen to compete at the prestigious UT TOC Tournament in Austin, Texas. Even though the squad that was taken was small, the Kerr Speech and Debate team had Michael Kebede in Semi-finals of Student Congress, Ainee Athar in Finals, recieving a TOC bid, Joshua Tang in Octo-finals of LD, and the team of Dennis Chau and Jessie Ho in Quarter-finals of NCX, top 8 at the tournament.                                                                          -AM

While many students in Alief were enjoying the beginning of Thanksgiving Break, members of the Kerr Speech and Debate Team were hard at work at the Katy Taylor TFA Tournament. Sacrificing the beginning of the break payed off, winning the Kerr Speech and Debate Team 2^nd place overall sweepstakes, with many students advancing and even reaching finals in their events.                 - AM
